March
I am MARCH
I am on my way
I am going full-charge
Each one at a time, today
I am named after Mars
Roman God of War
Named by my mother Maritus
Beginning stomp to storm
Mythical ra ra of warfare
I am an agricultural guardian
In the season for care
I am farming a garden
I am meteorological Spring
in the world's Northern Hemisphere
With me unfurled life sings
We are all madness here
I encompass multitudes of rolling green
Saint Patrick’s Day and the vernal equinox
Women's history month heard and seen
Marching like soaring starling murmuring flocks
I am aquamarine and bloodstone
I symbolize sculpted courage
Not yet midway or overgrown
I become what in Q1 I envision
I am a clover-covered field
On the ides of March I am debt-letting
Like I am a daffodil concealed
Under weird weather melting
I am the Worm Moon
At the end of winter
Deep timeliness opportune
When earthworms reenter
I am the year's green turn
And sometimes that varies
Where constellations are concerned
I am Pisces to Aries
I am a month for many things
And also the month for not much
If by not much you mean everything
And by the month for you mean as such.
